Tell that to Sega fans

I think they're quite happy that they can now enjoy SEGA games on all kinds of devices and don't have to buy an outdated piece of plastic every 5 years that only plays a fraction of the games they want to play.

Yeah they must be super happy with the constant river of hot shit they were delivering for years after they went third party, Sega still does nice things but is barely a fraction of what it used to do.

And say what you want but people is buying those consoles, maybe they aren't nearly as horrible as you want to believe.

So it shipped 2.74m just in March? That's actually impressive and more than I thought! This means Switch is definitely well over 3m sold right now.

Definitely, only with current Japanese April numbers Switch is around 3m, with US and Europe are over 3.5m currently.

No major video game hardware developer has been better off from a software and quality standpoint since going 3rd party.  I mean, look at Sega.  When they were still a hardware developer they were forced to consistently develop games with variety and unique experiences in order to diversify their software libraries.  Now, for the most part, they just churn out mediocre Sanic games and call it a day.

Of course but Vivster would be happier to see Nintendo making shitty games as long as he can play them on PC, don't try to understand it, is just how he is.

Awesome software sales. Hopefully we can say over 50% Belongs to Zelda?

So by the end of this month which is only a few days so it may have already happened it most likely would have sold more in 2 months then its predecessor sold in 12.

No that's wrong. I wish SEGA still made consoles. SEGA no longer makes the games that made us fans of them, mainly because it became too expensive since releasing a game on 2-3 platforms cost more,so they dropped new IP's and interesting games in favor of very safe money makers. They are a shell of the SEGA that once was. Also Genesis ended up with more releases than SNES. Saturn 600 games. Dreamcast 686 official releases, that is before we go into the games that are made for the thing to this day by indie devs. Dreamcast was not outdated when it came out. It was very powerful. First time we saw Arcade games look better on a console. DC had many PC ports and a few pretty good ones. I would rather spend 300-400 bucks every 5 years to have the SEGA of the 90s back to be making new awesome IPs every few seconds. The SEGA that gave us Rent a Hero,Jet Set Radio,Seaman,Space Shannel 5,Thunder Force,Outrun,After Burner,Burning Rangers,Panzer Dragoon,Segaga,Shining Force,Virtual On,Fighting Vipers,Virtua Fighter,Shenmue,Last Bronx,Phantasy Star (not online),House of the Dead,Shinobi,Golden Axe and so so so much more. Take that over Sonic every year and Mario/Sonic Olympic games and a few RTS games on PC. Yeah they own Atlus but Atlus is still Atlus pre SEGA. If I could trade let's say MS in in favor of having old SEGA back and making consoles..in a heart beat.

Most SEGA fans from that era would agree. Been on plenty of SEGA fansites and forums. We still greatly miss SEGA making consoles.

Absolutely amazing sales for switch and zelda!!!
