Blame social media, blame the poorly funded schools and the fluoride added to tap water for dumbing down society resulting in Trump being elected as President. Europe, Canada, New Zealand and Australia all have good strong leaders and better places to live than the hell on Earth nightmare of Trump America.

Well he didn't exactly win votes from the people, and it wasn't even close like the Bush- Al Gore election.

I blame the dumb Electoral College situation,  and the winner take all situation.

Obama didn't inspire people. The outspoken and very loud liberal left that would have been behind Obama anyway made it seem like he was the greatest man in the world.

If you don't think Obama inspired many many millions of people they you weren't paying attention the past 9 years. Or you're too clustered in a outspoken very loud conservative far right bubble. Obama gets elected and most of America was hopeful. Trump gets elected and most of America is just hoping we get through this disaster.

Also a lot of liberals weren't happy with Obama because he wasn't nearly as liberal in governing as they hoped he'd be. He was much more of a centrist than any conservative will ever tell you because conservatives are so far off the edge of reality anything that isn't frankly insane right is a damn lefty liberal.

Making assumptions much? I'm an immigrant Mexican living in the USA and I was paying attention. I work for a university and left and right you see first professors professing in favor of liberal views, faculty shoving down students throats how to think, and then media that 24/7 was and continues to praise Obama is the most amazing man in the world. Obama is a fantastic orator, but he was never inspirational outside of what you are told by the media. Oh, and I'm no conservative by the way, I'm a realist and I saw how people fell to his feet while he continued to deport more immigrants than any US president in history. But hey, Trump is the bad one, right? I mean, Jorge Ramos spends all the time talking about how ICE is deporting Mexican because of Trump but never saw him saying the same while Obama was president.

If Hillary had won and was doing exactly what Trump has been doing, I'm pretty sure that she would have already been impeached.

Here's a great representation of the American presidential system:

I didn't vote for him, so I don't regret anything. However, I do feel sorry (and a bit of schadenfreude) for the people who voted for him and actually believed he would accomplish all the things he said he would, when he said he would.

Well America could have gotten an actual human being in the form of Bernie Sanders or Jon Kasich one is liberal the other democrat and both were miles upon miles upon miles better than Hillary or Drumpf. Imagine an actually decent and full of dignity election between two human beings instead of two psychopaths that you guys voted for. It was your option to choose in essence selfish robots and then selecting a clown robot to win

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

Bernie Sanders was running for the Democratic Party, and John Kasich was running for the Republican Party. The policies of them would probably not have deviated drastically from the actual presidential candidates.

So far, this thread reminds me of that Favorite Alcohol thread...with all the posts about preferring water.

I'm mostly joking. I suppose "Am I the only one who xxx" threads are targetting a very specific group in the first place...so at least it's understandable here.
