Ladybugs show it better  (scorpio version clearly has much better textures than the normal one):

You can tell the bottom one is 4k downsampled right?

I thought the top one was the proper lady, shaving her legs.

Yeah this isnt just 4k downsampleing, this is "more" that you ll get from best case scenarios on the Xbox Scorpio.

"...rendering at 4k and using the additional overhead to enhance graphics."

The bottom picture is clearly better looking.

Actually, this is a legit issue.  The downsampling looks nice, but Idoubt 4K has the power to grow hair.  Those were added on later apparently as a tech demo.  Undoubtebly, the Scorpio has the power to render the Laybug as shown, but it's not going to add what's not already there.  Deceptive Microsoft practices again?

Yes the point was to show what both systems can do.

The scorpio picture, obviously had "more" power leftover, even after doing the render at 4k, so they did "more" to enhance it.

Some games (less demanding ones) that also get Scorpio patch's, you might see differnces like these, between the normal xbox one version, and the scorpio version.

I see only minor difference in contrast nothing more

I see some nice improvements:

  • less jaggies on the hair strains
  • more details/texture both on the skin and the clothes

This in itself is true, and leads to the testamony of what Scorpio can do when compared to the One.  But the reality of application is that we won't be playing with games of a ladybug with no AI.

I only see minor differences. Almost like PS4 to PS4 Pro.

As someone who is gaming in 4k myself. Its what you expect from 4k.

I'm not convinced at all that a vanilla xb1 couldnt handle the 10 or so leg hairs on that ladybug. Which begs the question, will Ms deliberately lowball base xb1 games in favor of artificially making Scorpios improvement better? Pretty much the opposite strategy Sony has for mid gen
