I still think you are comparing apples with oranges.Zelda may not be MH or Pokemon big there, but it still sells great and arguably moved Switch consoles.And if it keeps up at this pace, it will outsell OOT and Twilight Princess, which each sold around 1.3 millions in Japan(its around that number.Cant really check now since Im on the phone).I personally would consider that number big enough to say that the franchise is popular over there.

big enough since it can reach a million, but certainly not your normal console system seller.  it is already proven how Zelda is in Japan. But in US of course it is a different situation.
