[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]
Hard to feel much about this. Maybe I'm just being naive, but I can't imagine Ubi's business practices getting much worse than they already were because of this or anything.
This is not necessarily a bad thing. Vivendi has been in and around gaming forever. They're a media conglomerate. As such, they have IP, distribution networks, marketing synergies, deep pockets, and more that they can bring to the table. I can think of no reason to see this as a negative (or a positive) at this point. Its just a behind the scenes business move until they show otherwise.
Personally, I don't think hostile takeovers should even be legal. It destroys competition. It's also just a dickish thing to do to a company who doesn't want to be "sold." Why doesn't Vivendi just make a new studio if they want to get into gaming? All they have to do is not downgrade their games and they already have a one up over Ubisoft.

They havent really recently gaming wise at least, but they should since its a great IP :P |
Gamewise no, but they're planning to make an Assassin's Creed TV series.
I like the IP but it just needs a break.
