Forums - Gaming Discussion - What Are Your Favorite 2017 Games So Far?

We're about one-third of the way through the year now, so I'm sure most everyone here has acquired at least one or a few new games this year-to-date at this point. Do you have any favorites so far? Here are my top 5:

1) Night in the Woods
2) Persona 5
3) Cosmic Star Heroine
4) NieR: Automata
5) Tales of Berseria

(I'm a little biased in favor of games with strong stories and my list reflects that a bit, I think. A surprisingly large number of AAA games have managed to make the cut so far.)

As one request though: If you're going to name The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, could you please name something else too unless that's the only game you have from this year? Please? Let's not make this boring and altogether predictable!

Around the Network

I love games with a amazing story and gameplay + great / interesting characters. The first 2017-months were incredible for me, this is my top list:

1. Persona 5
2. Yakuza Zero
3. Horizon Zero Dawn

I am very happy current. And I'm really looking forward to "Detroit Become Human", "Ni No Kuni 2", "Yakuza Kiwami", "Tekken 7", "Uncharted The Lost Legacy" and more this year. I'm curious about my total 2017 top list then =)

1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
2. Yooka-Laylee

They're the only 2017 games I've played.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild

Shovel Knight Treasure Trove if that counts.

already played:

Resident Evil 7 PSVR
Thimbleweed Park
Yooka-Laylee

to-do:

Persona 5
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Zelda BOTW

Around the Network

Only played Zelda:BotW so far.
I'm planning on going to Witcher3 after this and once the price drops Horizon:ZD. Very much looking forward to Tekken7. I'll likely pick up Spla2oon, Mario Odyssey, and maybe Arms. With a price drop I'll also likely pick up RE:7 (would love to play that one in VR but not worth the price of admission for just the one game).

The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild
Horizon - Zero Dawn

Persona 5.

Futaba Sakura alone makes it GOTY for me.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

4. Resident Evil 7
3. Blaster Master Zero
2. Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap
1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Definitely an "old-school" list. Two retro remakes and two evergreen series returning to their roots.

Persona 5> breath of the wild> everything else
