Fps over resolution that is pretty cool to see the support the game has gotten, and smart support too.

Would definitely consider picking it up now, resolution doesn't change the games feel and enjoyment to me, definitely not when getting 60fps almost locked in exchange for it.

Seems good. Well not for the game or the platform it's running on but it's nice to see at least one developer prioritizing gameplay over visuals.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

A couple reviews and lets play vids I heard the problem they first see was the fps so good job!

I'm sorry but this is just embarassing.
This game doesn't even look demanding.

Comes from running on Unity in a version before Switch support got implemented. This makes rendering horribly inefficient.

I've only tried it handheld so far, still looks great there.

I really like this update, made a "meh" game into a fun one. This definitely a case where frame rates top resolution in importance, especially in multiplayer.

Already read an article where a guy said this made a mediocre title into a "must have" for Switch owners. Definitely seems like the sacrifice was warranted.

I don't even have this fucking game lol. The cost is 0.

Bomberman actually the kind of game you need to worry about FPS?

Aye mentions in the video that 60fps is pretty much a stable of all Bomberman games with the exception of one title on the N64

This is the 33rd release of bomberman I believe the boxart says, so it would have been 2 out of 33 that wasn't @ 60fps.

Yeah. Looks like it should be easily running at least 720p 60fps on 7th gen hardware, I don't know what's going on here.

That's the important thing to remember.

540p for such a simple game is frankly awful but might indicate more about how it was developed rather than the hardware. It does seem we are back in a situation which was common to wii and wii u of trying to work out why Nintendo hardware again has such a low performance level. At least we know with the Switch its hardware spec and how much resources the operating system takes. We don't have to worry about working out the secret sauce we know from the beginning its a very weak system that will perform to a low level so there are no surprises. With the wii u there was all sorts of fake claims starting at about 800 gflops until it gradually got eroded down to the true figure of 176 gflops which took years.
