Rez & Child of Eden.

The PS2 era GTA titles also had it - stuff that should be boring somehow wasn't, like the taxi/EMS/food delivery side missions, purely because you learned the map & listened to K-Jah.

Playing Weezer's Undone (The Sweater Song) on Audiosurf.

Wow, that video was fun to watch! Good song certainly doesn't hurt ;)

Bayonetta and Bayo 2. When you're in the zone, it's almost mesmerizing to see her dance around enemy attacks. It's games like that that make you forget you're holding a controller that do it for me. You just think about it and the character does it.

Add:
-Splosion Man: and its sequel. The definition of tight gameplay

-Super Meat Boy: same as above, except that I suck.

-Flower: doesn't even feel like a game. Transports you to another world.

-Forza Horizon (series): Controls so well. The music mixes with the gameplay and atmosphere and becomes almost religious.

-Burnout Revenge: same as Forza only with tighter controls and insane speed. Weaving in and out of traffic never felt so good.

-Starfox 64: Can't beat the feeling of explosions and destruction all around while dodging enemy fire like a boss.

-God of War 3: Not quite Bayonetta but when you're focused on dispatching a slew of enemies, GoW3 does it better than most

-Sunset Overdrive: Just a ton of fun to simply navigate the city. You don't even have to be heading anywhere in particular. Just Sliding, running, and swinging.

-Tony Hawk's Pro Skater: series will always have a place in my heart from the 5th/6th gen. Hours can go by just doing tricks and racking up points

To my list, too!

Any version of Street Fighter 2

I'd just enter a trance of reflexes and amazing things would happen. I'd look back at footage of myself playing them and say to myself, "Damn. I'm pretty good."

You don't get that feeling in games that hold your hand. I imagine a lot of people get that feeling from Call of Duty but not me. I suck at that series!

LOL!

I'll have to post back when I remember any specific Zen moments, but for me it's moments like when I'm enjoying the music while exploring in an adventure game and there are no enemy threats around. When I can just soak in the beauty of the world.

When you get to the entrance of the Temple of Time in Twilight Princess.

Every Dive to the Heart section in the Kingdom Hearts series.

The Greenhouse section in The Swapper.

Skytown, Elysia from Metroid Prime 3 (well, except for the lab. Fuck the lab. Burn that place).

The lab scared the shit out of me, but leaving that place and never have to go back was a "zen" experience itself.

Endless Ocean 2, just the entire game

So many. It's either when a good song or piece of music comes on in a story driven game or when it's one of those 'get in the zone' games. For example the 3h endurance trial on the Nurburgring in GT5 feels like 20 minutes to me. Rez infinite and Thumper are pure Zen games.
