Forums - General Discussion - 90s stuff you miss the most?

Hard to differentiate between 1990s and 2010s and the difference between being a child or an adult.

When I think about the 1990s I don't really miss many aspects because with technology I can still consume all the childhood culture I want. I miss most is the optimism. The sense the nuclear war was not going to happen, that the economy was roaring, that new technologies like the internet would liberate people.

The 2010s are sort of like a cold splash of water that we didn't move past so many issues. Obviously more complicated than making it, but I'd say the 1990s in the US were like a modern 1950s in how we idealize it as a "simpler time".

It did, and it was horrible. XD

I also miss Doodle Bears. Anybody remember those?

sorry, never heard oft that

Flying was so much better in the 90s. Security was no where near as annoying, you could meet relatives in the terminal, seats were a lot larger, no stupid nickle-and-dime fees for everything...

But yeah overall I just miss the post-Cold War optimism...

Also, the days before the existence of the dreaded TSA and their ridiculous security lines.
