Most of that seems down to travel time... not fighting monsters or doing puzzles quick or the like.
Speed runs always seem kinda gimmicky but this... is nuts.

Love me some speed runs. Cannot wait to see how the speed run community tackles BotW.

Under 40 is possible, yeah. That run is 1 second behind the WR, which uses amiibo and is in the fastest languag. Sva is a god. But beyond that (under 35?) would need new strats or routes.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

If they don't find a way to leave the Great Plateau before getting the paraglider (which given how the game treats you whenever you try to do it seems unlikely to happen) I don't see how they could get much lower than 40 minutes.

But for years they considered Barrier Skip in Wind Waker impossible... and now it can be done in WW HD. So... we'll see.

Anyway, I find speedrunning Breath of the Wild really boring. Nothing like Twilight Princess... super fun run to practice and watch. Never gets old to me.

You can get the great plateau early. With stasis.

I know, but you can't go too far before being void out. That's my point.
