1. Resource hog.
2. Due to #1, it's slower than XP
3. Has issues with drivers and a lot of software currently available.
4. Has issues with 3rd party security suites
5. Is a brand new MS product and like all new MS products has a lot of security holes and reasons to be unstable.

I will make the switch when SP2 is released and patched. That tends to be win a MS OS is a pretty good system.

I think you pretty much nailed it there.

Because it just is, everything about it is crap.

Question for anyone.

Has Microsoft made a loss or profit on VISTA?????????????

They have most likely lost money so far.  The story a few years ago was that Vista was the single most expensive piece of software to develope in the history of mankind.  Its reported to have been a multi-billion dollar project partly due to the fact that they literally started over at one point.

There was a Business Week article floating around where they estimated that in employee wages alone (not to mention what they paid in taxes+benefits) it cost $10 Billion.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Had Vista and ditched it. Linux has much better features and uses a fraction of the resources. Also Vista wouldn't run older games (including MS games like Fable), some hardware including the camera on the laptop it came on!

For simplicity though I went back to XP.
