FInally got my key today, though the current testing window is only abaible from today until Sunday

Those of you who have your keys or haven't checked, do so now and get to trying it out

Install size is at least 12 gigs.

Apparently, I had a key since the last round of testing. Missed the email somehow. Anyways, I'll be trying it for a bit tonight. I'm generally not into competitive arena shooters against strangers. I'm more into playing against the friends I know in real life. So if it's good, I'll get a copy when it comes out and play against my friends.

Nice! I hope you'll share your impressions!

It's cool to have an arena shooter on the horizon again. Will it support local play/bots?

I got my code yesterday but didn't have time to install it. I'll be testing it out this weekend.

I can't share screens, livestream etc, but I can tell you that it's quite a blast of fun and a nice breath of fresh air for me. I haven't played an arena shooter in years, though QC feels a tad buit slow, it still feels fun.

Also the customization is pretty in depth too. Graphically speaking it also looks pretty nice.

Atm you can only play DM and TDM, with 4 other blanked out game modes, one of which I assume will have bots. I fully expect the game to support bots like the last few games once did.

It's nice that we can choose different servers. I'd love to play with you guys, even if the latency will kill me

Have they fixed performance issues yet? I've played the first beta two weeks ago and it was full of bugs. Loading for 5 minutes, random disconnects, freezes while in game etc.

Well me and Quake have run into a tiny bit of stuttering. I wouldn't at all advise to play with V-sync turned on as that makes things worse (like frame hanging, which gets you killed so easily).

There was like the odd freeze or two during an entire match that got me killed, but that was about it really. Visually everything looks in order. No one has DC'd as far as I know. My only complaint is that the matches take some time to start. Like DM is the fastest match type to find, but even then we have to wait for not only others to load, but then the part where we vote on a map, then loading screen, then another cinem, atic of our characters warping in, then we get to play the game. I honestly just want all that cut out and jump into a match as quick as I can.

Weapon wise things are decent, though guns like the machinegun/nailgun feel weak if you aren't constantly hitting your foes, at elast compared to guns like the frag/rocket launcher and laser rifle, those guns can make short work of your foes in better time than the standard MG. Also some heroe abilities need some serious balancing, though I imagine that will be quite hard for id (Since Blizzard is still doing it with Heroes and all their other games for years on end).

That's what I was talking about. Sometimes it takes more than 5 minutes for match to load. I hope they fix it
