Releasing this early on in the NS' lifetime makes it possible if they don't plan on doing MK9.

Sure. Especially after seeing the Target promotion and stuff they've got going for MK8D it seems like Nintendo is going to make this a huge thing and market the shit out of it everywhere.

I would of made it clear though. I done it in the past, as for the frequency of me making these threads, i did make a couple this week. I rather do it all but im trying to spread it out somewhat. Well tbh this was the last one i was going to do for awhile. Next would be splat2 WW of 10mil+ but that i was going to wait intill the summer for.

It's certainly possible, but it will heavily depend on Switch lifetime sales and when MK9 releases.
As some others have said. It depends on when MK9 releases and how many Switches are sold.
By the way I don't remember a port outselling the original version before.
That's a really high number, though perhaps it's possible depending on how large the install base becomes, as well as if there's plans for a bundle, which seems very likely to happen.
