Square Enix will release a new Final Fantasy XV update on April 27, adding a new PlayStation 4 Pro mode, Timed Quest ranking feature, and more.

Here is the list of changes:

  • New “Stable Mode” added to the PlayStation 4 Pro resolution options. With this mode, you can comfortably enjoy playing the game with a stable frame rate.
  • Subtitles, as well as some menu screen text sizes have been enlarged.
  • Timed Quests will start up again, and a new ranking feature has been added. You can get a wonderful weapon as an initial reward.
  • New car stickers added for Regalia customization.
  • New songs added to the music player.

Final Fantasy XV is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Yes I loved the Timed Quests~!!

Nice to see they are still updating. Though these updates don't fix any of the underlying issues with the game.

"Stable" mode. Sounds like a feature but should be standard.

Did they ever "fix" the ending or add the new chapter or whatever?

I keep putting it off, and it keeps getting improved. I may play 15 in 2017 yet.

The guy from Digital Foundry will be happy then :D

I expect it's a response to some of the criticism levied at the last update. Previously the Pro had 2 modes: High and Standard (1800pC/30fps and 1080p/30fps). When they added the variable frame-rate option, they replaced the Standard mode rather than add a third option. This upset some people because Standard had better frame-pacing, so i think "stable mode" will just be that old one re-added.

free updates > gladio dlc

I'm interested to know what stable mode is, hopefully it's a locked 30fps at a higher resolution for us 1080p users, lol.

Have you started playing it now?
