Switch is around 14 million with 7 weeks left, which means Switch will destroy Wii's "record".

Switches first year sales will be comparable to PS2's, north of 15 million.

Yup, i think no one was expecting such a strong return from Nintendo. I mean still we don't know if its really 14 millions as of Jan 13rd, can be overtracked a little but no matter what it will beat the record anyway.

Wait 3DS did better than the PS4 ? 

I'll wait for official numbers from Nintendo since all their claims are always so vague it's hard to keep track, but if VgChartz isn't overtracking too much, Switch will comfortably beat the previous record.
