So there's new info on the game. A few dlc characters revealed, including... Pyramid Head from Silent Hill, ugh... Also, a ship character from one of Konami's shooter games and Simon Bombmont.

Seriously? oO

As crazy as it sounds, it looks to be true.

find it very strange that the switch patches to games are actually adding features and improvements

Zelda patches improvements of performance were shockingly good
Fast RMX patch bought in time trial modes

Now this, all good work on the Switch front.

Why is it strange?Im genuinely curious, since the Switch is like any other console out there that can receive updates to fix or improve things.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Holy cow! xDDD

Pyramid Head is terribly unfitting imo. Nice offer for those who want more.

Yeah, it's definitely an odd pick. It seems more like a tease rather than something good.

I played some rounds online an hour ago and my conclusion is that this update really improved the experience A LOT! Good job, Konami.

Because updates on PS4/Xbox one games are mostly not adding stuff (infamous PS4 stability update).  For the switch it has probably something to do about devs getting the kits late and had a short deadline?

This is actually encouraging. Lets suppose that the game was rushed and this was all meant to be in the game at launch.... The fact that Konami is even doing it, is impressive.

Heard the framerate isn't good so that's good

wonder if they can fix laggy onlines though

They did.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Hmmmmmmmmm, you have got a point there, even though there are a number of games that have improved performance(significaly) with patches on PS4 and XOne.

In this case, I think its more about Bomberman performing wayyyy better than Konami expected, and thus it giving support due to this(to keep selling), than anything else.

In that case I hope Konami considers reviving some other dead franchises. Gradius might be cool, for example, and that gunship seems to be a new character here in Bomberman.
