The older I get the more impressed I am by people who had children in their 20s and didn't go insane.

None, don't plan to have any until I'm done with school and stuff. Probably next 10-15 years I'll plan to adopt with my partner. But hopefully we can play games together.

I mean, every parent is different and there are definately parents that can't handle it but realistically, you just adapt.  Having kids is one of those weird things where, until you have one, it's hard to 100% understand the rewards of it. They can drive me nuts but if I was to go back, I wouldn't change a thing.

Although, thank you for not having kids and evening out population growth for us weirdos that have too many.

I guess you could thank genetics or mother nature for that. I never said didn't want kids, just that I know I wasn't fit to be a father in my 20s.  I don't begrudge you having children, and I am impressed people who can manage it, especially under 30.

I'm too selfish with my time to have kids. I love being able to do what I want, when I want without the added stress of being responsible for anyone else, but myself.

We restrict screen time to ensure healthy activity overall. We have several consoles, they own 3DSs, tablets, laptops and a pc for steam gaming.

I play with them on games that I also like (i don't play FPS anymore and they still do). Wife loathes games and wishes they did any other form of entertainment. Mostly because some would literally do nothing else if unchecked.

My wife hated (well, hated is too strong of a word, disliked) most games, apart from stuff like Solitaire and Bejeweled, but I had lot of success playing board-games with my whole family...and I don't mean Monopoly, Clue and those old games, but games like Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan, Jamaica, King of Tokyo, Small World, Zooloretto and other modern games that fit into family friendly category.

I have seven. Oldest turns 13 and youngest turns 3 this summer.

At daytime I mostly play multiplayer with my kids and/or off-TV with Wii U or on 3/2DS. If I play games that require you to sit in front of a TV extended periods of time (like Xenoblade Chronicles X), I usually play it when the smaller kids have gone to sleep.
I/we have roughly a dozen games consoles, five of my kids have smartphones and two oldest have computers on top of that, so when needed, pretty much everyone can play when they want to.

I am very impressed that you find time to play Xenoblade Chronicles X with SEVEN kids. I was able to beat that one before we had a new baby but I can't imagine how many hours it would say after I beat it. When I beat FF 15, I was at like 115 hours. Probably 45 hours of actual playing and the rest from being in the menu with the tv turned off while I await my next chance to play.

Well, the off-TV play is to thank, so I don't need to wait while TV being turned off. And, when you have that many kids, they learn to wait their turn and learn that not everyone needs to do the same thing that someone else does. Some things just ARE easier with seven kids than one or two.

Although, sometimes it's been 2 at night I've got to bed because of playing the game.

But, I would've had more time to play the game if my second oldest kid didn't like the game that much, he's played it roughly as much as I have.

Yeah. That's just as big family that can fit into a car that I can drive with my driver's license.
