You mean that? I will help you... He meant that Nintendo GAMERS don't care about high end specs, 4k res and all this futile jazz that will never affect the enjoyment of a good game.

No, I mean that - "Nintendo is different. They don't value hardware over games so it wouldn't make sense for them to go third party. Their games wouldn't benefit from having powerful hardware significantly." Since they don't value hardware over games they should be making games for the most popular hardware around - smart phones.

P.S. I'm starting to doubt whether you realize the nature of the thread you're in. You seem to be taking this...seriously?

Ok, nevermind. So just take out the "gamers" word from my post and you get your answer

I see no problems with the thread. The reason why it was made is pretty clear to me.

That's good too, but i´d rather just stay with my 250$ console instead of spending over 1000$ on a 4k capable PC.

Don't need to spend 1k on a decent PC. Also 250$ tech gets outdated rather fast, as made very evident by the recent refresh systems.

The Pro was a mistake, OG/slim PS4 games still look amazing, for example U4 or Mankind Divided.

I wouldn't exactly say they were mistakes, it's just that sticking to 5-8 years of the same build doesn't do you any favours in that long run. Even before current gen came out, they ended up rolling with hardware that became outdated, by release even more so.

I feel that was a huge issue during the PS3 days, Dark Souls 1 dropped to 14 fps in some areas, most games ran like shit at the end of the gen.

Not so much now, it seems multiplats run much better and will probably remain like that till the end of the gen.

Sooo...you're saying Nintendo CAN port the game to smart phones since they don't care about high end specs, 4k res and all that futile jazz?

Oh, I have no problem with the thread. And that's what you're not getting.

You just don't want to buy a PS4, but you want to play the games. Just admit it.

What if he doesn't, what's so Satanic about that?. I've seen plenty of folk around the net who voice their desire of wanting to play games that are exclusive to PC, but want to play said games on their consoles, are you going to chastise them while you're at it, or is this only when PC gamers do it kinda gig?.

I mean, we've already had a label provided by Azuren that it must only be PC gamers who have said "mindset", but never anyone else, so I'm to assume that this is a textbook fact that I've apparently not been aware of.

Where did you get satanic and doom and gloomy from my statement? That's just weird.

An interesting idea has been present on the minds of gamers in the last years. The concept of going third party is a taboo subject, a lot of people are against it but there are some people like me that see the benefits of going third party.

If Sony goes third party all gamers win. Don't belive me? Let's think.

Sony going third party means more money to spend on videogames.

Having all the Sony games on one platform (PC) means we can stop wasting money on outdated hardware. Money that could be spent on more games. Having Sony games enter the steam ecosystem means we could have Uncharted/Horizon/etc. at insane prices. Gamers win in the end.

PS4 hardware is inferior if we compare it to a PC.

Eliminate the need to buy a PS4 and now you have more money for games and for hardware upgrades on your PC. You could play Sony's first party games on real 4K and 60fps.

Sony's first parties would be able to realize their full potential.

Not being tied to the limitations of the PS4, Naughty Dog could make their games even better than they look today.

Sony's first parties would have increased market reach.

PC gamers can be counted on the millions, add to those the people that are buying PS4's and Sony would be sitting on a pile of cash in no time.

PC gamers will have access to videogames they could never play. And vice versa.

PC gamers could finally enjoy the first party offerings from Sony, and Sony gamers would enjoy the PC offerings. A win-win situation.

So what is your opinion?

I game on consoles for simplicity. I like buying a system and knowing a game works on it.  Not crazy about the PS4 Pro, and I disliked the N64 expansion as it divided games within a system.  PC gaming for me has been a mixed bag over the years. I have never experienced the cutting edge PC feel people talk about. I always feel like I'm a generation behind when I play PC games becuase I never can play the new games at high settings. Meanwhile I know exactly what Horizon is going to look and run like on my PS4.  That certainty and ease of use has value to me, even if I agree PC modding has appeal.

Your arguments make more sense than the BS in that Nintendo thread at least. It makes infinitely more sense for one of the MicroSony companies to go third party than Nintendo.

Of the two though, give me Sony going third party just for the simple fact that I'd rather play on XBL than PS Network, hands down.

Only if Microsoft bails out of the console market and we only have Nintendo in the console space.

After what they did with 7th gen, Microsoft cannot be trusted to rule the console space or all we will have are western military and space marine shooters and sports games and that will be the end of traditional console gaming as we know it.  Not to mention what they did to Rare.
