Sony's Bringing the 1TB PS4 Slim to the United States

Small chassis, huge HDD

It's been available in Europe for quite some time now, but Sony's announced that the 1TB PlayStation 4 Slim is launching in the United States this month. Obviously this is identical to the system already available in the US, it just comes with a bigger internal HDD and carries an MSRP of $299.99.

Buying this instead of shelling out $50 more for the Pro is silly!

Really?  The Pro has been retailing for $400.

but the pro is 100$ more. this is the exact same price as the 500GB. seems they might be phasing those out. 

Sony getting ready for that price war. Now the question is, which SKU will be bundled with RDR2? PS4pro, PS4 or PS41tb? RDR2 would surely help push the PS4pro but a $250 PS4 bundle would do awfully well.

Every Pro should be bundled with a game optimized for the hardware.

Just after they finally allowed external HD ? absurd and useless. And that's not a good price. You can regularly buy PS4 + one game at 249€ in US already.

They already try to sell those expensive 1TB models in Europe with little success. Better wait for the release of Scorpio (and inevitable PS4 price cuts on all models) before buying a PS4 IMO.

I'm sure they'll have GTSport and Horizon lined up for such a bundle. With the Switch and Scorpio releasing later this year, I think they'll also have a mass market bunlde which is likely to be either Star Wars or RDR2. I know which one I think will do better.
