Forums - General Discussion - Wisconsin's in Trouble, War on Milk

Sounds like a very stupid, but Canada has recently announced that they will not be purchasing any more milk from the United States (Namely Wisconsin and Minnesota). This is a new attempt for Canada to become more self sufficient and less relient on the rest of the world. There have already been reports of Dairy Farmers losing their contracts within a month. What this will mean that we will have an overabundance of milk and either the price of milk will drop or we will start throwing milk away.

How can Trump deal with this, I am curious? He is someone that supported agriculture in a big way. It would be awesome to see them purchase the money through Taxes (they have a huge agriculture budget) and give it to shelters or countries in need. Of course it's more complicated and expensive, but just reading headlines like that would lift my spirit.

No use crying over spilled milk eh?

I don't think the impact will be huge for the US, as the Canadian market is very small, especially when compared to America

There will be impacts, but probably nothing too big or worrying..

That's why they have a real businessman in the White House. Trump will make sure that Canada pays for the milk. Then again, milk isn't as important as the booming coal sector.

Please let that be the official Trudeau statement.

No, it's big. Canada takes 10% of our milk. This relatively affects me being in Wisconsin having a couple uncles who farm. Overall though, No use crying over spilled milk lol @Sega
