From the few controllers I owned I guess a t the end of its gen I disliked the Wii controller most. Have you ever tried playing Smash with it. I was very glad I had a Gamecube controller.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I like most Nintendo controllers, NES, SNES, Wii, anyway... However the N64 and GameCube are atrocious to me, same for the Dreamcast controller... Most other standard/modern/semi modern console controllers always seemed great to me (Genesis, Saturn, all the PlayStation controllers and the og xbox and xbox 360 as well...) I'm not convinced about the xb1 series of controllers, maybe it's the interface of the machine's OS that bugged me, it's hard to tell, but I rarely felt as just right as when I first held a DS4, or a 360 controller the first time (except for the D pad on this one).
I don't get most of the fighting about controllers, especially the dual stick placement, it literally makes no difference to me, it's all marketing bs.
A terrible Dualshock clone that broke after a week of use when its batteries melted. The thing somehow reached ridiculously high temperatures while playing it, and it burned from the inside out.
Gamecube Controller, Digipad, C-Stick and L,R,Z buttons are bad and imprecise and a huge disappointment from the awesome N64 controller which was perfect for shooters (in Turok mode with full analog aiming and full digital walking) and beat-em-ups, better than any controller existing today.
Reading here makes me wonder if game consoles should make two versions of controllers, standard and large. Never have I felt a controller was "too small" like so many seem to describe here.
I hate the sideways wii remote. I played Rayman legends with it and it was pure handcramps.
I actually think remote+nunchuck is a super comfortable control scheme, but as a traditional controller or 2D platforming it suuuuucks.
Also DS3 for it's thumbsticks. They are curved outward in a way that makes my thumbs slip off them, wich makes my hands cramp when trying to keep control.
