I hope this is like FF X remaster and ends up on PC. I might buy it on sale, i have good memories of this game on the ps2.

This game looks surprisingly good in HD.
Also, I don't remember Fran's hair being this detailed.

There are PS3 games with significantly more bland hair textures.

The hair? That's what we were looking at? ;P

I pre ordered the collector's as soon as it was announced. One of the most underrated forgotten Final Fantasy games in the franchise.

It got a great critic reception, but I agree, it's criminally forgotten/left away by most fans.

Yeah, i think it was the highest rated jrpg on the metacritic on the ps2. I think where it fell short was the story telling. Just wasn't enough cutscenes in between dungeons.

This game was boring.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

What is the battle system in this one? Turn based or had they already changed it?

Definitely getting this since I never played the international version due to the PS2's region lock back in the day.

Thanks for that description, I think I will have to pass.  I HATE the new final fantasy's, primarily because of the battle system.

FFXII is nothing like FFXIII or XV though, I can't stand either of those but I loved FFXII. It still offers complete control of the entire party in combat, and then you use gambits for automated things such as healing when a party member reaches a certain percentage of hit points, or going to attack the enemy with the least health. Overall, it's a lot less frustrating and offers more choices, you can play it almost fully "turn-based" if you want, and there's none of the terrible camera of FFXV or complete automation of FFXIII, and to top it off, the entire game, its cast, setting and even story is vastly better than FFXIII and XV.

I gave up on both FFXIII and XV after less than 30 hours gameplay, but I've finished FFXII three times, twice on PS2 and once with an emulator. It truly is a fantastic game, and I don't even like squad-like RPG's with real-time combat.

I can't wait til I see Fran's rump swaying across the screen again.
