TPP would've put a big dent on China's monopoly on US brands manufactured goods.

Who needs a fancy education when everything is online? Google, Wikipedia, Youtube, etc can provide an education that is better than most expensive colleges. I have no student debt holding me back. There is no point taking on a huge debt for an education that does not guarantee a job.

When people think businesses can provide better pedagogic services than public servants...

Most of the tuition money goes towards non academic elements of college, like sports teams and board members.

Even on public schools a good chunk of money invested in schools goes to contractors instead of academic improvement.

This is true, you're better off learning a trade in this day and age over everything else.

To put it bluntly, it's the 21st Fucking Century. In other words, at SOME point, sooner rather than later, humanity is going to have to seriously grow the hell up, and stop "Competing" with one another, and actually work together towards worthwhile goals.

I'm not talking "One World Government", necessarily. But at the same time, the way we've BEEN handling shit forever, certainly doesn't seem to work. After so long of running into the same wall over and over, one would hope that we, as a race, would learn.

An enlightening video I've come across today.

I will never understand this obsession in USA (also some other countries) to be the country dominating the world. What exactly do you have from that?

Do you think people in Denmark or Norway are like "ohh no, I have everything I need personally but my country isn't a world power, my life is so sad"?

Just try as country to offer a great life for the people. If a country like China will be in the future 3x as strong economical with 5x as many people it shouldn't be anything to have a problem with as long as people in USA have a great life on their own.

And if USA's economy and military power will be only 100th in the world in 200 years it should be also no problem for anyone in the country if people in that country have still the best they can get for their own life.

So, just concentrate on improving the life of your people and not how to beat others if that doesn't improve the life of them and only how others think about your country.

We have to tax the imports. They're working their people at pennies, so we simply cannot trade with them.
