America is a bigger threat to world peace than North Korea, claims Russian lawmaker
Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachev says no one knows if Trump is 'bluffing or really going to implement its threats'
A RUSSIAN lawmaker claims the US is more of a threat to global peace than North Korea.
Konstantin Kosachev, the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the upper house of Russian parliament, says the entire world has been left “scared” whether President Donald Trump will order strike action.
He said: “The most alarming thing about the current U.S. administration is that you can’t be sure if it is bluffing or really going to implement its threats.
“America objectively poses a greater threat to peace than North Korea.
“The entire world is scared and left guessing if it strikes or not.”
Trump’s Tomahawk missile attack on the Syrian regime caused a spike in tension between the United States and Russia.
The whirlwind assault was in response to evidence showing brutal dictator Bashar al-Assad dropped chemical weapons on a rebel-held town.
The UK called the deadly riposte — which completely destroyed the base and killed personnel — an “appropriate” response to Assad’s barbaric slaughter of around 100 people, including children.
But in a sign of how risky the move was, the Pentagon revealed that it had given prior warning to the Russians before launching the missile strike.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent more than 4,000 troops to Syria, backed by planes to support Assad, who has been accused of horrific war crimes.
Some claim the action, consistently avoided under the Obama administration despite his talk of a “red line” being crossed, may eventually pave the way to conflict between old foes America and Russia.
While despot Kim Jong-un has edged closer to going to war with Trump over North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.
North Korean leader Kim has made it his mission to dramatically increase the amount of nukes in his control in less than a year.
