No matter how heavy the supply constraints are.... the switch should and is expected to outsell everything whenever stock is available for at least the next couple of months.

seriously, how do peoole not know what supply constrained means? you cant sell what doesnt exist.

if Switch was readily available than yes it should have outsold PS4 in its 2nd week but if there isnt physically that many units available than it is impossible.

I don't think you realize we are saying the same thing. I am simply saying that no one should expect the PS4 to win the switch for at least the next couple of months and that in the case where it does then its due to a supply constraint. Hence the "whenever stock is available".

Maybe you need to stop being so defencive of nintendo andnot take everything like an attack on them.

Yeah, and most consoles launched this gen cost $399, so I don't see an issue with stock. It's more that people have an issues with paying $399 than a stock issue.

Are you suggesting the Switch isn't currently facing stock issues?

I think what he is saying is that you can buy the Switch from third parties who are selling the Switch for $399. Meaning there are Switches available to buy but not as many people are willing to pay too much for them. Makes sense to me.

So, PS4 down over 20% yoy, how is no one talking about that and focusing on it beating a supply constrained Switch in its second week? Last year that week had The Division, this year that week had Ghost Recon and the large tail of Horizon, so it's not about lack of big software either.

Anyone still thinking 2016 wasn't the PS4's peak year like I said in 2015?

Ah that makes sense. I get confused because the Switch is $399 retail equivalent in some locations outside the US.

I still think its not the PS4s peak year.

I think a possible $199 price point and with bundles like RDR2, SWBF2, D2, COD and GTS all possibly happenning this year will do way more for the PS4 than anything it had last year.

So this year is more likely to be the PS4s peak year. But we can wait and see how it goes all comes down to how aggressive sony decides to be.

Switch sales were adjusted down yesterday.

If the switch sales are like they are in my country (The Netherlands) its still sold out so that would say nintendo didn't ship a lot?
PS4 will be a beast untill PS5, hell, maybe a few years left after PS5 sold its the new PS2 lol

XB1 over 100k!

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).
