So, VGchartz seems way off on Zelda...

How do you know? I mean the Zelda numbers here is only for two days so far.

So the game sold 60k on it's second week, but will average 150k per week in the three to follow?

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

I guess some Zelda fans wanted to get their hands on their copies immediately and are just waiting until they get their hands on a Switch to play it?

Not sure where you got the 60K in the second week from, but they have it as 437K in the first two days. I guess the rest was spread over the rest of the month.

Oh, fair enough. Guess the second week was a difficult time for finding a Switch.

I think a lot of third parties right now are at least scouring their PS3/360 back catalog and seeing what they can fast track for the Switch.

Switch is the first Nintendo system to get out of the gate this quickly without really needing casuals since the N64, and unlike the N64 the cartridges are not that expensive or limited and there's digital distribution too.

If I'm Square-Enix I'm looking at all my older FF games pre-XV. If I'm Konami I'm looking at MGSV. BioShock. If I'm EA maybe I'm thinking about a Star Wars game (Rogue Squadron collection?). I think Switch will be more legit to developers now, not that I expect royal treatment, but I think it's going to earn some street cred with developers now.

Accept the greatness that is Knack

I would if it was true, but its not even close. It sold like 82K at launch in the US when the PS4 sold over a million.

Im talking about Japan where Knack had greater than 100% attach rate

It didnt. It had exactly 100% because every PS4 available was bundled with it. Just like Wii Sports in the US and Europe.

The US is the biggest market for Zelda..
Zelda isnt as big in Europe or Japan as it is in the US.

Still... more than 100% attachrate in the US... is nuts!

Right now theres like 20,000 americans that are sitting in their room, looking at their zelda box, and wishing they had a switch to play it on.

Happened to me. Three times, actually!

-Sent my dad to buy an N64 on launch and he claimed he lost some of the money and came back with a copy of Mario 64.

-PS1 was selling like hotcakes and I came home with a copy of Tomb Raider and Resident Evil but no console.

-PS2 was impossible to get at launch and I came home with a copy of SSX but no console.

Four times if you count the time I thought I was getting an SNES for Christmas and bought some games. Christmas came and I didn't get anything!
