What are you talking about? It was sold out on Amazon UK for over a month after release - the Grey version only got back in stock TODAY. Maybe in some tiny Eastern-Europe markets it wasn't sold out, but they don't particularly matter for sales.

Anecdotal evidence being destroyed by anecdotal evidence. Nice.

Is it really anecdotal though?

Pretty sure you quoted the wrong guy.

Either way it was kind of a silly and uncalled for attack anyway. Why not just go to settings and block the signatures instead of attacking another use......that's pretty sad imo.

i didnt know. i made a thread and people helped me fix it.

Sorry if I offended you but I hate ads. Tho i use ad blockers I didnt know i could block sigs but now I did and am really enjoying the forums now.

The links kind of change things, but your original post (along with the other two's) were anecdotal as you were all stating either the Switch was or was not sold out based off things you "saw" and/or "heard." Either way, I didn't take Turkish seriously as he clearly didn't know what he was talking about in the first place.

It is no biggie man...just the random attack was not cool at all. Glad you got it taken care of and are enjoying the forum now!

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

not sure who to blame that people forget so fast and...

Well if you don't want to be fair that's fine but that's like saying Switch launch was amazingly better in Japan compared to PS4 because in Japan the PS4 was not released for months later.

Fair hasn't got anything to do with it. But if you want to talk fair......

  1. You either take all the "first weeks" of a console release in all the territories it released in regardless of the month it released and add them all up to get one global first week.
  2. Or you take the launch week of the console regardless of how many territories it released in in the launch week ONLY.
Now why (2) is fair? If MS had X number of XB1 consoles available for launch, picking and choosing where to launch was a strategic decision coupled with the fact that that  was as many as they could make prior to launch. Now if nintendo had the exact same X number of consoles but instead chose to launch everywhere? they still only have the stock they were able to make regardless of how many territories they released in.
MS made a finite number of consoles. MS decided which territories was most important to them and launched there first. If MS decided to do a global launch then every territory would have got fewer units. Simple as that. Its no ones fault but MS taht MS released here and not there. But the real kicker is that even if they released globally, they still would only be able to share what they had available for those 13 countries they released in.

Edit to OP: Numbers Adjusted

There are some curious milestones here.
Switch sold 906k in March, Wii U sold 890k in November+December2012.
Switch already got the 1st place in the charts, something the Wii U couldn't done, even if you add its debut sales.

Switch also got a 1 million week, thing the Wii U never did.

Fair enough and thanks for pointing it out. And thanks to radish for providing the links!

Wow, nice NS launch and great attach rate for Zelda.
Outside of NS HW and SW, the only notable things of the week are Horizon and PS4 SW boost even in NS launch week.
