Isn't that like, the thing to say every generation? At this point, it's like a no shit that every generation gets more powerful and closer to photo realism.

Films? Most are photo realistic because they are photos...moving photos. If games looked that good theyd be amazing.

I don't want photorealism. I want a more beautiful fantastical world. An improvement would be how much better the next legend of Zelda would be from the previous one. So called photorealistic games always age badly but good artstyle can last generations. I can already see the beauty of the real world by going out into the real world. I want to see a fantasy so beautiful that the real world pales in comparison and we are still way behind considering all that.
