Sorry for OT but I take it golden week is a big holiday in Japan? Do sales typically increase?

Yes, they do, although the last few years have been a lot more muted in terms of increases than they used to be.

Ah, good to know. Thanks!

So is it two more weeks of regular charts and then golden week the third?

Will probably continue to drop, they aren't many notable releasing in the coming weeks. Dragon Quest XI and GT Sport can't come soon enough, those two games are going to push a fair few consoles.

Well, I don't know if it will go back to those numbers, since now it finally has some competition. X1 is absent, Wii U was weak, 3DS is old (it's only selling like that because Switch is out of stock and desperate consumers are getting the older console, go figure). Japan is Nintendoland.

So the biggest gaming week will be splatoon 2 then following it dq11. Holy shot lol

I Guess Japan has spoken, for now, and it's saying that Switch is a replacement for Wii U, but not so much for 3DS.

How's that? It's the no.1 selling system in Japan right now by a good margin.

It will be a replacement for the Wii U,  vita and 3DS.

3DS isnt even fazed by switch. Look up the YoY comparisons and 3ds still has over a year of support left at minimum
