Flames are almost certainly fucked. Was hoping we would face Edmonton, but Anaheim is a strong team. We're going to need a miracle indeed...



Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

The difference is the scoring is coming from so many more than just Ovi, the Capitals should go further without having to rely on just one guy to score. Ovi is also playing physical and demanding hockey lately and if that transitions well into the playoffs then the Caps are definitely contenders. Plus, the Leafs are the Leafs so...

CHI v NSH - Chicago in 5 Games. Hoping CHI loses but they are just way too damn good.
MIN v STL - STL in 6 games. Would like to see Minnesota win but they've been coming up very short lately.
ANA v CGY - Anaheim in 5 games. Calgary will one game. I know, I'm too nice to Calgary.
EDM v SJS - EDM in 7 games. This should be a great series. The biggest reason I give it to EDM is SJ slump.

MTL v NYR - NYR in 6 games.
OTT v BOS - I can't decide on this one so I will say OTT in 7 games, hopefully.
WSH v TOR - Caps in 4 games because that is my biggest wish.
PIT v CBJ - The PIT in 5 games. I know CBJ did great this year but PIT is too clutch with so much experience.

Damn, the old NHL thread was my home on this forum a few years back. Glad to see it has returned.

I'm a huge Wild fan so rooting for them obviously. First round picks are:

Well not quite, but man it's been a while

McDavid, MVP is coming. 

There is not going to be an arena louder/more electric than Rogers in Edmonton. It was so loud in 2006 they actually had to bring in a new goal horn that was shrieking loud because the old horn could not be heard over the crowd noise after a goal.
