What is the NHL?

The NHL stands for the National Hockey League. It is the top-tier league in the United States and Canada, with 24 teams playing in the former and 7 in the latter.

The NHL is divided into 2 conferences, each conference being composed of two divisions. 16 teams qualify for the playoffs: the 3 best teams of each division, along with 2 wild-cards per conference (the 2 best teams that weren't in the top 3).

The Stanley Cup playoffs is a four-round series, with each series being a best-of-seven. The first two rounds are divisional, the third round is between the 2 remaining teams in each conference, with the Finals being between the Western Conference and Eastern Conference champions.

Around the Network

Go Rangers.

Come on Wild- don't be a disappointment like every other minnesota team

Round 1!:

So, who is everyone rooting for? What are your predictions?

Go Hawks!

Around the Network

Go Sens! Although, I have no hope. :P

So, the way it usually goes, I predict the winners to be who I want to lose. So, round 1, I want Nashville, Minnesota, Calgary, San Jose, New York, Ottawa, Washington and Columbus to win.

Since the Sabres didn't make it (as usual), I'll be rooting for the Sharks and Wild.

And I especially don't wanna see Boston or Toronto make it past the first round. Not too worried about Toronto, but Ottawa hasn't been the greatest recently, so don't want them to screw up against Boston.

I'm a Flames' fan, but I'll be stunned if we get past the first round.

Fuck the Ducks.

The last thread made it past 1,000 posts, let's do it again!

Well, I don't think this one'll get that far!
