Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Bomberman R Official 500K (Potential 1M Seller)

Super Bomberman R is a cute and enjoyable puzzle-action game that pays homage to the origins of the franchise. It’s mechanics are simple but fun, specially when you’re playing with friends or even with strangers in online mode.

When there's nothing else to buy

The game is mediocre at best and bomberman isn't that popular, so it's very unlikely to sell 1 million. It may sell a few hundreds of thousands, but not a million.

The game is amazing and a lot of fun to play with friends. Of course, the Switch is a bit closer to the Wii than the Wii U, so we'll often hear hardcore gamers say "this game isn't good" because they don't understand the appeal.

I doubt it'll sell a million, but the sales have been really good for a Bomberman game and the recent update fixed the controls.

If it hits 1 million it's only because it's a launch title and there were very few options to buy at the beginning.
Not even trying to bash the game at all because I love Bomberman, but that's just how it is.

The game will reach the million when it gets a serious pricecut. 50+ € for it is not really reasonable.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I could see 1 million happen, but it'll need a price reduction before the holidays and for the Switch to continue doing well. I love Bomberman so I plan on picking it up but not until it's cheaper.

Needs price drop and more free DLC, then we'll see if it can be a 1 million seller, but as it is right now I don't see it. It did do good first week so there is certainly potential.

It wont reach a million units sold, due to really steep price and not being an exceptional game, but for the budget(that I imagine was very low) it got and for the expectation Konami had in it, it will and, probably already is, very succesful.

With its success, hopefully Konami(and Nintendo, since I read somewhere they were the ones that actually pushed for this and even co-developed) gives a greater budget, more talents to the team and actually take chances and try to make an exceptional Bomberman game, because we all know it deserves it.But its Konami, so Im not holding my breath.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
