Forums - Sony Discussion - Playstation Vita has been dead for years. It hurts me too, but it's a fact. Let's move on.

It still gets games. I still considering buying a Vita for playing the games I got over the time with PS+.

On the other hand: also the WiiU still gets games. Heck, even the Wii still gets Just Dance and probably will for a time. And I can play my games still on PS2.

So, in the end it definitely depends on when you consider a console dead. This also explains the different opinions here in this thread.

Not dead in Japan. But sure, dead every where else (from a hardware sales perpective).

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

My Wii U still gets games? That has to be stopped immediately! Any new WiiU game (that gets enough reviews) will destroy that sweet 2017-MetaScore-average of 97% ;)

You've just now realized this? It's been dead for years. Not even worth mentioning anymore.

It's dead in the US for damn sure. But in Japan is alive and well.

Alive and well? I dunno about that. Its not exactly getting major support and its recent releases aren't selling great.

Although I'm impressed by the support it does have from Japan. I mean some weeks Xbox 360 tracks more physical sales than Vita but gets no support.

We'll... for a dead system, it's still giving me as many games as the 3DS, if not more. Last year was especially good with RPG.

Actually i just went to the shop and we have recent launches of Berserk, atelier firis and toukiden 2. I'm sorry, but the definition of a dead system is one for wich games aren't made for anymore.
I don't know where the Vita touched you, but it is still very much alive. Theres more stuff coming this year like ys8, danganrompa 3 and tokyo xanadu. That is mighty impressive for a "dead" system.

Oh i get it... this is switch beeing a portable bs. You are feeling threatned? Haha...

You can't find the Vita on store shelves in most places in the US now, yet games are still being localized because enough Vita owners still buy games for it. Why are these people needing to move on again?

Bullshit. I've been to Oregon, Cali, Washington (state), Nevada, Colorado, Illonois, Texas, Ohio, Indiana, and New Mexico within the past 6 months and all had Vita games in their GameStops/EB, Walmart, Fred Meyer's, mall stores, Best Buys, and Targets.

Well that's cool, NW Ohio seems Vita-dry outside Gamestop & other used game places. I just assumed it was like that all over.

NW? Like Columbus? Duuude, I was at Target just yesterday and they have Vita stuff still! Nothing amazing. But it's still stuff!
