Retro is one of Nintendo's flagship development teams being the creators of the Metroid Prime trilogy and Donkey Kong Country: Returns and has been quiet since early 2014 when they released Tropical Freeze. The speculation has gone wild amongst the fans on what they could possibly be working on and given the recent release of the Switch it's obvious that the hybrid system will be home to their new project . Since we're roughly 2 months away from E3 I think it's the right time to make a game to try and guess what Retro's new game is, whether it's a new Metroid, Donkey Kong, another Nintendo franchise or a brand new IP. That being said it'd be too simple to just predict one of the four options, the latter beeing too wide in possibilities, so here's the catch:

-IF YOU PREDICT RETRO IS WORKING ON EITHER METROID OR DONKEY KONG YOU MUST SPECIFY WETHER YOU THINK THEY'RE WORKING ON A 2D OR A 3D GAME;

-IF YOU PREDICT RETRO IS WORKING ON ANOTHER ESTABLISHED NINTENDO FRANCHISE YOU MUST SPECIFY WHICH ONE YOU THINK THEY'RE WORKING ON;

-IF YOU PREDICT THEY'RE WORKING ON A NEW IP YOU MUST SPECIFY THE GENRE OF THE GAME YOU THINK THEY'RE WORKING ON;

with this three simple rules the game should be more interesting and even for users that chose different options. You win only if your guess is 100% accurate .

New action-adventure IP

A new IP or StarTropics. Definitely not Metroid or DK.

I predict they are working on a brand new RPG IP in the likes of KOTOR that will be Nintendo exlcusive. Brand new everything.

Hopefully a new IP. Time to prove that they could be successful developers without the use of another established IP.

New open world action game.
