I have the Pro since launch, side by side with original PS4. Good  games like Horizon, GT S, Ratchet & Clank and UC are clearly better on Pro. Thwen you there aare games  like D2 which use same  assets on both platforms, so outcome is meh.

The main problem I had was to find a good monitor, I went Asus 27 inch 4k 60Hz monitor, which is good but lacks HDR. In general it is hard to find low latency 4k 60 Hdr even today.

One final comment, Pro is typically  more silent than launch PS4, but Slim is the most silent of all.

The new, updated 7200 SKU of the Pro is much more silent/efficient than the launch Pro.

I have a PS4 Pro + OLED setup. I've only tried Uncharted 4 and Titanfall 2. Both are a definite step up compared to my old setup (OG PS4+1080p set).

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

Not true.... the TCL P605/7 or even there S604 HDR tvs are not only among the cheapest but the are also among the best 4K HDR 60hz TVs on the market right now.  Whicch is why they are always sold out.

They also have among the lowest input lag (sub 20ms) of any hdtv out there too. And you can get them for under $600. $400-$600 depending on the model to be exact and at 55".

I agree that 4k HDR TVs are available, but I was specifically referring to gaming monitors, short distance viewing. Not many.options today

Wether playing the exact same games in a better resolution is worth the asking price is going to differ from person to person. You're better off just asking yourself the question than random people on a gaming message board with hoards of bias and personal agendas which are hidden from sight (not all, but most).

Isn't it astounding that as gamers, we're all talking about 19ms lag like it's acceptable? These aren't movies. Gaming is an activity whereby a person pushes a button and depends on the speed in which that button press results in an action on the screen they're looking at in order to do well. And here we are... talking about how one TV is less shitty than another shitty TV.

People should really all be playing on gaming monitors at the very least imo. Input lag is an abomination and it's laughable that a CRT from 1999 does things better than a state of the art 70 inch 4K TV that costs eight thousand dollars.
