Forums - Politics Discussion - Truck deliberately driven into crowds in Stockholm - at least three dead

I never understood how 3 people dying makes world news. There's 30 000 children dying of preventable causes each day, what makes these people so much more important?

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

No, we didn´t, but we accepted more people than expected basically because many other EU countries didn´t take responsibility for people in crisis.

I guess the next question becomes why should any country take responsibility for migrants when so many of them are:

-not refugees escaping persecution and/or war, but rather coming for economic opportunities

-young, healthy military-age men who seem have lower IQ's than EU young men, and thus a greater bent towards violent actions and possibly radicalism

-will probably add insiginifcant gains to the workforce considering just how many of them are illiterate, resulting in a greater demand from the nation's welfare to keep them going

A nation's leaders has to consider these ramifications.  Not just look at a few heart-breaking pictures and then hastily make a decision that could fundamentally change their country.

Syria? Do you realize that it's a war zone there? Also, in regards to the second post, are you seriously promoting IQ tests as a way to determine who should be allowed to immigrate?

Because of humanity.
