I'm certainly not hyped. I only got the ps pro due to a trade in promotion. I don't regret it, but theres hardly any worth in doing it unless you have a 4k TV, wich costs thousands of euros/dollars.

What's the point of scorpio beeing powerful when its games are available on the pc which can be even more powerful and can have stuff that is on ps4 and pc only. I don't even know what the point of the xbox is anymore.

So everyone has a gaming PC? No point in the Xbox being around huh? What kind of shit is this? If someone doesn't have a PC and only a Xbox. Every game is exclusive no matter what anyone says or tries to imply. This rhetoric and now the no games bullshit. It's just reasons for ppl not wanting Xbox to be around.

The PC argument always bothers me too as well man.....no matter which camp it comes from(Sony,MS or Nin)....so I feel you there lol.

So, Scorpio has the same CPU as PS4, clocked slightly higher. GPU with 40 GCN cores as oppose to PS4 pro's 36, also clocked higher. 12GB gddr5 vs PS4 pro's 8GB gddr5 +1GB ddr3, also admitteadly faster. Scorpio is definitely superior but it's not groundbreaking difference. We still don't know the price and there is not a lot worthy exclusives on Xbox platform. I think Sony is not loosing sleep over this.

that thin line between XBOX and Windows 10 gaming, it really had a bad taste for me. I've bought the Elite version, and I love the XBox One controller over PS4. But I still haven't bought any new games for my XBox. My multiplat games would always still go to my PS4.

Because there are way more reasons to not buy a pc but a console, although it's the same games?

It's not the same games. The PC has the multi-plats, the microsoft first parties, the ps4 exclusives exclusives that come out on pc and the PC exclusives. Unless theres some microsoft exclusive that you absolutely want to play on console, wich i would call a special case, i don't really see any value on an xbox vs a ps4 or a pc. Heck even a switch at least offers exclusives.

This is not an attack or anything, i am truly disappointed that MS got to the point where specs on hardware is all they've got to try and sell xbox scorpio on.

A PC with Scorpio capabilities would cost a lot more. The Scorpio is a way to get that true 4K gaming for a 400-500 price range. As for games MS has been teasing a better first party line up at E3 and i hope they deliver because they need more games to sell the console.

People usually use the "cost" argument of buying a console over a PC. Plus the "Convenience" angle. And we cannot forget controllers either.

What do you miss out if an Xbox game is on PC? Buy the game for the platform you wish to play on. Who gives a crap if it's exclusive, I hate exclusivity it limits where I can game.

Price is important. The GPU seems to be very impressive, but wasn't the CPU a bit less than expected? I haven't completely stayed current with console power epeen fights.

The CPU was exactly what was expected. People just ignored those who had an educated take on the topic and started to beat the Zen/Ryzen drum.

A pc CAN be more powerful, but you'd likely spend more money on a more powerful PC than the console by far. so that's the point, it's always been the point o consoles in general, achieving the most power without breaking the bank to do so.

We don't know Scorpio's price yet. So don't start beating the price drum just yet. ;)

No. The CPU has been customized lightly. It's not the same as the PS4 with a slightly higher clock.

The 40 GCN "cores" are more powerful per core than the PS4 Pro's.

The GPU and CPU has certainly deviated from the off-the-shelf parts and we will need to see some games to truly see how much of a difference Scorpio provides.

Soon as MS announces some games worth caring about - not the inevitable Forza 2k17 or the other members of their holy trinity - then I'll start paying attention to their box. Better looking / playing western multiplats alone won't get me to drop cash.

If you say so.

Personally im hyped by games, which is why I have 0 hype for the scorpio, no matter if its gonna be the most powerful console ever. I had more hype for the WiiU prior to its release than I do now for the Scorpio.

I know right? Although I was super hyped for Wii U and love my console but the online PS thing is more hype worthy for me than scorpio since you can play awesome games on weak hardware sadly I'm not that into PS games otherwise I would totally use this service. But what this makes me wonder is that even if PS5 and XBOX-next were 10TF+ with each TF being more efficient than today's TF what would they offer? Scorpio is offering 4k and the at 10TF+ you can probably have 4K at 60FPS. Other than that what are they going to do? Nintendo was one generation late with hd graphics so probably by then even Nintendo will have 1080p screen switch with 4k docked though probably at 30fps so are they going to focus on the textures and the nuanced details of games afterwards? But that does not sell the biggest selling points for these brands are HD 4k and such and secondary selling points are 60FPS and TF and the like but they can't market that they will have those with even the pinky of characters looking really good or something. How are they gonna convince people to buy the new consoles? Will they stop with console generations? Make cloud gaming a thing or using servers instead of hard drives to store media? Will they release consoles like the switch so they are both portable and home consoles. Other than copy Nintendo after this power war they have been raging since their inception, I don't know what they will do? Surely 8k won't be a selling point for gamers? Graphics saturation might be a thing right? Will holgrams be something they can use?

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

Price and games the other two parts to the equation. Its good that they are seemingly getting better at hardware design, seems one area that they've been quite poor on in the past, but you can see they've worked really hard on that over the last few years (you can see that in other products too like the surface).

But for me, i've got a big PS4 library, I have a pro, I don't feel hyped for it, I think I'm more likely to pick up the XBOs at some point so my son can play RareReplay. Without a lot of exclusives the power isnt enough for me.

It's a business. Exclusives are what makes consoles worth it. If there were no exclusives the console market would implode.

The convinience is the only angle you got. Controllers you have on the PC, you can connect your PC to the TV and play it in your couch. I am a console gamer, i understand the convinience argument. But if it wasn't for all the latest exclusive games, i would not buy a console and would expand my PC instead.
