Forums - Movies & TV - Daniel Craig “just about persuaded” to do Bond 25 ( 007 new movie )

Tagged games:

Bond films are well known for their lack of story, shallow character, over paid B-Grade actor as Bond. Plenty of long drawn out car chasing scenes, dodging bullets and the impossible stunts that should never be attempted in real life. Craig along with Brosnan have been terrible at playing Bond.

Loki? He is part responsible for the rise to popularity of comic book movies.

Nothing wrong with him. Just a different persona than Craig. Craig is more serious in his portraials and Tom is more laid back. Different vibes, that's all.

I honestly never liked Craig very much and was a fan of the Pierce brosnan era. But for what they have been doing since, Craig just fits.

Loki didn't put him in the picture as a possible Bond. The Night Manager put him in the picture for being the lead in spy thrillers.

Personally I wonder if Bond has finally reached the end of it's life. Bond movies really should have ended once they finished adapting all of Ian Fleming's books. At that point they should have moved on. I wish whoever licenced the movie rights to Bond had actually made that a limitation: No Bond movies except as adaptaiton of published Flemming books. There's always remakes. And given the campiness of some of the earlier movies, and that Casino Royale itself was a remake and is the best of the Daniel Craig Bond movies, I see no reason why they shouldn't look at more remakes, if they are going to keep Bond on life support.

I know...

That wasnt his question. His question was why people like Tom hidleston. Most of his popularity comes from Loki.

I don't think Bond movies are over at all. They are fun, in the same way mission impossible is. They make money and probably have lower budget than MI, so they will keep doing them. With Craig or without him.

Sony Pictures, it has to be said, are run by the biggest idiots ever. Spectre underperformed, Ghostbusters bombed along with their other reboot, The Magnificient 7. I think all their big movies bombed other than Resident Evil: Final Chapter.

Spectre is the 2nd highest grossing Bond film of all time, I would hardly say it under performed.

You know you're in a good place if you can casually deny an offer of a whopping 150 million. Anyway I wouldn't mind seeing him again as Bond, but Craig's going to hate himself later if he does another Bond movie.

75 million dollars (assuming it's $150 for two pictures) for 3-4 months of work where half the time you're sitting in a posh trailer is just too much money to ignore even if he hates playing Bond by now.

And Man of Steel is the highest grossing Superman movie of all time.

Hmm, pie.

Bring back Pierce Brosnan

10 superman films vs 24 bond films, find something more relevant.
