So it's fair to assume that it would then go on to sell 30M in 24 months.

Nov 25 was only 2 years in NA. Not in Europe and not in Japan. Where are you getting those numbers anyway?

it hit 30 million after 2 years in America/PAL regions and 21 months in Japan. Im not going to argue with you about 4 fucking days.

this is a sales site so you should easily be anle to find those numbers.

I didn't ask you to argue over 4 days and 3 months - I was just stating a fact.

And your source is vgchartz?

30 million? I don't think so. Switch is riding the wave of newness combined with Breath of the Wild's wild success; It's considered the 4th best game of all time. One great game will boost those early sales. After a couple of months, I think sales will drop dramatically.

Thats why its so important to mantain momentum. And thats why MK 8, ARMS, Splatoon, etc is spread like that.

And before you say, MK 8 Deluxe is not aimed for the existing Wii U owners. It is aimed to newcomers that didnt grab the Wii U, so for many it will be a fresh and amazing game.

Just to say, I dont quite believe that figure too, I think 23-24 is more believable, but its not impossible.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Are you suggesting that in 3-4 years it's going to be a Multiplat powerhouse? I look forward to the next Battlefield on Switch if that is the case.

I'm just saying you're already judging based on only one month into the Switch's life compared to 4 years of the PS4 and Xbone. It's like no s#%$ the library is more on the latter two.

It's never going to have allot of AAA multiplats. And yes. I can judge it, that's my right as a consumer.

Although I agree with your statement, for Nintendo's sake I hope not. I hope the momentum carries, competition is a great thing and you can never have enough of it.

Yea I dont think Nintendo will drop the price this year unless they are forced to...

Nintendo has vowed to never lose money again on hardware... So even if a price drop is imperative, they won't do it if they are going to lose money!

Nintendo lost money for the first time in their history with 3DS in  2011 owing the urgent huge price drop in August, 249-169$...

Even though manufacturing cost still had a big difference with the new retail price, Nintendo was paying a high sum of royalties for 3D effect use... 3DS hardware became profitable in July 2012 with 3DS XL release at 199$.

They  lost money again with wii u ( 2012- first half of  2014 ).

They didn't cut the price, but that happened by the reason of  the excessive dead stock of white 8g wii u ( 299$) and its clearance ( it was being sold even at 160$ without a game in early 2014 ).   That version was discontinued in 2013 and the black wii u 32gb version price fall from 349$ to 299$... The majority was preferring the black wii u with the higher memory capacity, despite costing significantly more.

Wii u was in dire need for a price drop yet again Nintendo never did it ( They noted in an ir event... That  they took a lesson from 3DS and the won't slash wii u price ), even though they're were very opened with price reductions on previous consoles...

These estimations ignore the fact that the Switch basically has no games which will have a huge negative impact on sales.
