I don't think it is. Not for me at least, especially since I can access one without the need of purchasing it (borrowing it from a family member). Even if I couldn't, I don't feel anywhere near close to like feeling I'd like one, either. I still see it as a disappointing Nintendo system and I'm not fond of it.

The games I really enjoyed on it are:

· Super Smash Bros U (Awesome game, got to say that. Poured plenty of hours into it)

· Bayonetta 2

· ZombiU

· The Wind Waker HD

· Resident Evil: Revelations

Then there are some games I wanted to try on it, like:

· Breath of the Wild

· Tokyo Mirage Sessions

· Pikmin 3

And outside these I don't really feel like there's anything else worthwhile on it that I can't find anywhere else, whether a port or a similar experience, or that doesn't really entice me enough to go purchase a WiiU to play it. So no, not even the new Zelda can't change my perception on how poor this console feels to me.

Wiiu is so damn bad that it has the best game of the gen and a GOAT contender lol

Heavily relying on one game to make a point doesn't make the case for WiiU any better, though. It echoes the sentiment that it's a much better option to just get the console borrowed and play said game and contender, than spending cash on a console that doesn't seem worthwhile investment at all, especially since the game you're pointing out isn't even exclusive to it.

Wii U has great lineup of games, but I really don't see point buying one (if you dont mean to hack it) when you have available Switch that will have some of those Wii U games and lotsa new games that Wii U want have.

That game has +200 hours of contentso you better borrow the console for a long time. It also had the best Mario Kart, the best Smash, the best Donkey Kong, the best new Nintendo IP in a decade (splatoon), one of the best hack and slash ever (Bayonetta 2) and I can keep going on, I just have the feelling that some people decided the console was bad and literally not even the best game ever can change that perception.

I strongly dislike Mario Kart, and Splatoon is good but not my thing. I've already adressed Smash and Bayonetta in my original post, too. Never played the DK one, though.

You can keep going on, but you should also understand that I'm not making the valoration of WiiU in a light, thoughtless manner, and you posting a huge list of games isn't going to help for much, either, because I'm aware of WiiU's software offerings. Just like with Gamecube, which I love and whose games I adore, there's people that sees it as a failure with a weak library, and no matter how much I try highlighting virtues of it, it's not going to change people's perceptions. It's not my place to change their perception either if that's how they really feel about it, even if I don't share that sentiment (although I can understand going for the "highlighting the virtues" thing, since after all we're here because of games and we talk about games).

All I see from WiiU is an overpriced console with a software line-up that isn't good enough for me to consider it worth of being purchased; especially since, like I said at the start, I have some occasional access to it as well. It's probably among Nintendo's worst home consoles so far, in my eyes. Adressing the OP's question, no, it's not worth. If this supposedly means you're going to see me as someone that preconceived WiiU as bad no matter what Nintendo would do with it, then so be it.

For the Switch it is worth it, yeah.

I'd the Wii U was worth the purchase from 2014, but now that it's successor is out, it's seems a bit late to get one now. The Switch is a far more future proof purchase with many great games on it's horizon for a good number of years.

I'm currently playing Breath of the Wild and it is probably the finest game I've ever played.  It's a game so good, it's almost worth buying a system for on its own.  I think most Switch owners would agree.  But for the Wii U owners, those who have sat through droughts and some less than ideal game titles, does Breath of the Wild complete the system?  Is Breath, along with WWHD, XCX, SM3DW, MK8, SSB and a number of other very good games enough to justifiy the purchase?

I'd say yes.  The game is that ridiculously good.

why would I buy a $300 system for a port of a game when I can play it on the wiiu, it has been worth it since 2015.

Lets hope it doesnt take as long for Switch to become worth it taking years to build a nice library. So far only Mario for me this year, Splatoon 2 will have a paywall before I'll have the switch so thats a no. Xenoblade 2 looks really low budget, like it started as a 3DS game, I hope it turns out good.

For me, yeah.

I'm not sure if I'll even get 100 hours of enjoyment out of it, I primarily play other consoles. But for the experiences it has given I've enjoyed it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if a console has like 10 you wanna play then its worth having. I don't think Wii U has 10 games I care about... but its fairly close.
