Forums - Sony Discussion - Atlus Threatens To Go After People Who Stream Too Far Into Persona 5

Isn't the game out though? Companies controlling play usage after you bought the game sounds stupid. The people who get spoiled are the ones who CLICKED on the stream. And didn't this already come out in Japan? I'm confused...

The recommended videos alone on youtube can be huge spoilers. They can spoil the ending even if you don't click on them

I don't understand the logic in that comment, but I'm from before the entitlement generation and you tube and the internet :)

Gaming has become inseparable from streaming and videos.

It has? Maybe for some and unfortunately it seems my kids are infected too. When they're playing BotW at every point they say now this is going to happen and then Blitzwinger or whoever did this here and DanTDM beat the boss with such and such. Why do you even bother to play the game...

I understand wanting to show some cool moments, ingenious solutions or other random things happening. I've uploaded plenty videos myself too. Yet watching a game stream from start to finish just seems silly to me.

I might be completely out of touch with modern gaming but if I created a story based game I would shut down all streams and lets plays for 6 months to a year.

I don't understand why someone would want to watch someone else playthrough an entire game in the first place. You are destroying the allure of the content.

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.

i'm sure they'll lift the restriction after a month or two. don't panic

None of Atlus' business. Throwing my Take your heart edition and throwing it in my cat's litter box. Boycotting this hot mess.

My question is more like, why the fuck are people watching the stream instead of playing it? lol

I'm not watching the streams, but I'm not paying $80 for it.

Games like Final Fantasy XV was ruined before official release because of streamers.

Atlus is just protecting our experience. Completely different than Nintendo, you can't compare the two.

And why can you not compare the two? Are you sure Atlus isn't just protecting their bottom line?  We will let you see so far into the game to get you hooked on the story but you have to buy it if you want the rest ...

I love how we've gone from Streaming to being a good thing, becoming more commonplace, to it apparently being a bad thing. You don't have to watch the streams, inf act those of you who don't want to see said streams and siding with Atlas should actually be playing the game, not paying full attention to those who wish to stream their gameplay.

Games are not movies, don't even try tying them to another form of media and calling them exactly the same with another form's rules.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see
