Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Where are the Rumors ?

Here's a rumor that is absolute bs and completely made up and not even a rumor at all:

Retro have been watching Aunoma's team during the development of Breath of the Wild and realized they needed to step up their game. They're readying a Metroid Prime revival with a world 1/4 the size of BOTW with plenty of room for 3D speedbosting and shinesparking and screw attacking and bombing and super bombing. There are Chozo ruins to explore and Phendrana Drifts to freeze your Zero Suit off in. It will be epic and it will be Metroid's opportunity to shine with the big boys.

I love how people take every rumor and then say the surprises were spoiled. I even remember people after e3 2015 acting like they knew ff7 remake or Shenmue or the last guardian were expected

I am Iron Man

After MONTHS of rumours I think it is relieving to have a break. With E3 around the corner rumours about Switch will pick up soon enough. Then everyone will say "I am so SICK of all these rumours".

E3 is around the corner, expect big anouncements

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

I'm sure some will come up. Just have faith. Have faith... hmmhmmhmm

Since this thread just got a bump, might as well post some rumors by Emily Rogers about that Rabbids game:

Question: Wait, are the rumors about a Rabbids x Mario crossover actually true?

As I wrote in a previous blog post, the official title is “Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle”. The aesthetics and art style remind me a tiny bit of Super Mario 3D World. It has colorful graphics, and it has humor that you wouldn’t typically see in a traditional Mario game.

Question: Were you joking on Twitter when you said Princess Peach has a gun in the heavily rumored Rabbids game?

They’re not realistic guns, they don’t shoot bullets. They are sci-fi cartoonish guns that shoot lasers, energy beams, and things of that nature. Characters can even have arm cannons ala Mega Man/Metroid. The game isn’t trying to be edgy like Shadow the Hedgehog. It’s meant to be super wacky in a cartoonish Looney-Tunes sort of way.

As I mentioned yesterday, the art style and aesthetics are similar to Super Mario 3D World but more detailed.

Question: Can you give us more info on the Rabbids game?

I’ll throw you guys one LAST bone.

“Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle” has eight playable characters — including Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi — and they each have their own sci-fi weapons, laser guns, arm cannons, etc. But you don’t control the characters — you control Tuttorio, a small floating dish, to guide them through the worlds. There is also co-op multiplayer.

I really think this game could be real, seeing as the guys from GameXplain mentioned that they heard about it too a while back.

EDIT: Also, she mentioned that the new Assassin's Creed won't be coming to the Switch, and I also asked her about those rumors about Beyond Good & Evil 2 being a Switch exclusive and she said they're totally fake.
