Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo Switch #Bendgate!! Yup!

I don't think this is a heat problem. More like a manufacturing error or self handling error.

I have played Zelda in dock mode over 100 hours, with several hours at the time. No problems.

Photoshoped. The gamecard flap is skewed/warped.

Just cool it down with an ice pack, literally. I had to do that with my Samsung Galaxy S4 when mirror imaging vids to the TV.

I would think that if there are "warped" consoles, that they would have to have been from manufacturing process'.  To heat the exterior casing to a point of actually warping?  That kind of internal heat would overheat and shut down or fry the system altogether, long before it would warp the entire unit.

When Sony does it, it's fine.

My copy of Crash Bandicoot 3 was Warped. Nobody made a big deal.

My copy of Syphon Filter was also a victim of the "Sony Bend". Again, nobody cared.

Been sayin this throughout the whole thread.  The fact that a supposed technology focused publication immediately assumed this was due to heat is so cringe-inducingly face-palm worthy.  Especially when you consider it would have taken a 2 or 3 hour test on their end to see if temps ever approach anything remotely close to what it would need to for the warping to happen.

Of all the supposed Switch issues, this is the most stupid of them all. I'm appalled by the fact that some people actually think this has any ring of true to it...

Also put it on a straight surface and blow at it from the side. Check if you feel any air comming the other side.

I think it better to use a flashlight...

No, just cut up a strip of paper and see if it can be slipped through.

I just tested mine there with a fleshlight instead, from the switches reaction to it, I would say it's perfectly straight.

Better companies are held to higher standars. Just how the world works.
