Welp, it's save to say the XBO will not be in the Top 100 for April. It's at #100 with one more day to go and that SKU is currently #247 in the hourlies.

Could see switch doing 400k but I think 350k is more reasonable.

That's too high. April is not going to benefit from the announced increase for Switch production, so there are probably only ~750k units to sell around the world. The USA are not going to get more than 50% of that volume, but rather only ~300k units.

Of course I am only guessing how many units Nintendo will ship, but I doubt that production was originally planned to be 1m or more per month during spring/summer. I don't expect an increase in production to materialize before July, because the logistics are more complicated than that.

 

Yeah 450k could be a bit high. Well leta see how japan does for the week. Japan last 3 weeks totaled over 135k+ if japan mk8 debut week lets say 100k that would put it 235k. US will easily be over 300k. I think closer to 400k seems okish (like 375k-380k or something).

I'm going to have to say it's just not doing well.  UC4 is going to be a year old next month, so I don't think it's exactly lighting up the charts at the moment.  Same goes for the Megadream PS4 controller dock.  And like I said, it's not even close to being in the Top 100 in the hourlies.  It's way down to #247.

The only game with a chance to outsell horizon would be splatoon 2, but that isn't even out until July. Just seems odd.

You just have to go to that product's page.  If you scroll down past all the pics and info on it, there's a small section called Product Information that lists its ranking in a couple of charts.  For, the XBO Minecraft bundle it shows its ranking in the Video Game Bestsellers and XBO Console Bestsellers.  Currently, it is the 4th best selling XBO console, in the hourlies, but only #258 in the overall Video Game Bestsellers.

Interestingly, the top XBO SKU is the 1TB GeOW bundle, that's been marked down to $288.  It sits at #147 in the overall rankings, though.  XBO is not doing very well in April.

That's not surprising, Mario Kart is the only big release at the moment and Switch is still the new, interesting thing. There isn't much else to talk about right now until E3, as very few seem to care about Prey and the only decent-sized release for May is Injustice 2. Otherwise, PS4 is still plugging along selling well as always and Xbox has basically filtered out everything but drip-feed info about Scorpio, so yeah, Switch is the fresh thing at the moment. Once Destiny gets shown and other games start showing pre-E3 footage, I'm sure interest will perk up again.
