After the first season it became shit. Bunch of conspiracy theory garbage.

Heheh just like Death Note..

Honestly bever seen Death Note. Not the biggest anime person tho there is some I do like. I keep meaning to watch it on Netflix. Maybe I will just watch the first season and stop :P

Around the Network

First season was great, after that repetitive as fuck.

I agree with the first statement of the title tho. Prison Break is like Death Note. Terribly overated and extremely predictable.

I did like the first season of PB tho, Peter Stormare is great in it.

First season was good, second was decent and a logical conclusion to the first. After that it got ridiculous, I mean how many times does one need to break out of a prison?

And even though like I said the first season was good, this isn't anywhere near Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad, especially.

All 4 seasons were great. I actually liked the third season a bit more than the first. It was back to the prison setting but with a huge twist. Everything felt different. The writing was absolutely brilliant. I also liked the tv special which was supposed to be the 5th season.

The problem with the show was always the premise. I just knew before I started watching it that as soon as they got out, people would lose interest in it.

Anyway, can't wait for the new episodes. I hope ratings prove to be good enough for Fox even if they end up not renewing it for another season.

Edit: As for Death Note, it's my second favourite anime of all time. Slightly ruined by the ending. The second part of the series felt weird at first but made perfect sense.

this week... new episode (mini-season) in the usa, right ?

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I've never seen Prison Break!

Have to give it a chance some day.

Comparing prison break to death note is fine, they both rely heavily on gimmicks and lose traction in the second season. But Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones are masterpieces. Not something those gimmick series can compare to. They were fun, but a long ways from masterpiece.

Sure whatevs. Prison Break S1 had excellent writing and directing, average to bad acting (with exceptions) and that was all about it. S2 was bad - but had an awesome new character played very well (you know who). The story increasingly made less and less sense. S3 and after are unwatchable. Hella bad. Cringe worthy.

No comparisons to Breaking Bad which also suffered from similar issues - at least in terms of the story feeling padded unnecessarily.

Also this. Abruzzi was the shining light of the series. The whole series could have been 14 episodes and it would have been better than the cumbersome and inane mess that it ended up being. Really felt like the writers had no idea about what was to happen after the actual prison break.
