I think you are being hyperbolic, BoTW combat not only feels great but also allows for many creative approaches to combat and it has a degree of strategy an a huge attention to detail.

Also it can be really epic

Yeah, but Zelda feels like a videogame is being played with all the blips and beeps and all that. Combat doesn't feel anywhere near as alive, epic or realistic as it does in Horizon. Plus, Zelda;'s combat hasn't changed since OoT really. It's all the same. I can understand why someone would prefer Horizon's combat over Zelda's. But you're sooooo all about Zelda you can't even begin to understand why somepone would feel this way.

There's this COOL move Alloy does where she can slide beneath her towering enemies and shoot the bow at the same time. It seems like such a small detail but adds SOOOO much to the immersion and enjoyment of the combat. It's truly spectacular to watch! :D

Post it. I wanna see.

Did this turn into another Horizon vs Zelda thread somewhere in the mix? They are not even the same kind of game lol, the mechanics are too different. It's like comparing Street Fighter to Tekken, both fighting games but wayyyyy different, Street Fighter just happens to be more popular. /shrug

Aren't SF and Tekken similar? How are they wayyyyy different?

You are either trying to troll me or you don't play a lot of fighting games lol.

Yeah well I can snowboard while shooting 5 bomb arrows per shot mid jump where things burn then take off into the air with my glider then slow-mo bomb arrow volley everything(or any type of arrows really)  indefinitely until I run out of arrows(and I have a shit fuck ton of arrows with a fuck ton of bows from Lynals) with sta food or buffs in the new Zelda so I don't know wtf your point is. I can tell you haven't played the new Zelda at all and is just talking out of your butt with this one. I don't know whether Horzion or Zelda has the better combat system overall since they are very different but you sure as hell need a lot of imagination with the new Zelda because you pretty much do whatever the fuck you want, but if your mindset is stuck with OoT that came out in the 90's then you are very very far behind the times.

It turned into Horizon vs Zelda with the very first post, I think.

It seems to be the curse of Guerrilla Games, Killzone always had to be in the shadow of Halo, now HZD is up against Zelda.

I thought HZD couldn't be as engaging after 170 hours of BotW. Now I'm 40 hours into HZD and it's just as awesome. It's certainly different, different is good. It's as much on my mind as Zelda was when playing that. What a year so far, RE7 in VR, Zelda, HZD, 3 amazing experiences. If this continues it might be 1998 again :)

Yeah. Outside of Smash, I don't play many fighting games.

I'm finally focusing 100% of my attention on this game and I'm enjoying it. Looks outstanding, especially after I realized I had turned off resolution in favor of performance (hint: don't worry about performance!). The story has finally hooked me, too.

Inevitably, anyone who has played BotW is going to compare it to this game but the more I play, the more I see how different the two are. Both are of the highest quality and gamers are blessed to have them. Can'twait to get home and play more!

I have played it for 89 hours. Breathtaking experience.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I am just stating this from a simple bservation of your behavior, seen until this point and it's for your own good, everyone is free to have whatever opinions they want about everything they personally enjoy, as a individual free human-being they are free to do so, just because they share a different opinion from you doesn't give you the right to falsely accuse anyone from not "Playing a game deep enough like you" for lying, lying for what reasons? Just to have a different opinion or world-perspective on what makes his taste his own taste? Grow up and stop behaving like a narcissistic spoiled person, have some self-respect, having it all your way is only seen as a obnoxious behavior and it doesn't dignify you, so why go through this humiliation? You are only hurting yourself and you aren't gaining any self-respect at all from this, neither do i from wasting my time on the internet and experiencing all sort of shit we shouldn't assume to be real life at all.

Having a different opinion is ok, pretending you played a game when you didn't is not

But what if he played both games?

By the way you react, I wouldn't be surprised if you're the one who hasn't played both games.

I'm level 47 and I've only completed a handful of story quests. I'm doing Cauldrons and Vantage Points now. Pretty much taking care of all the collectibles before I get into the main story. That's basically how I do all open world games that allow it.
