There was a scam going around where people were using those listings to price match at local retailers (where price matching of Amazon was allowed). Apparently many CSRs fell for it. I think most places now have policies against price matching Amazon resellers.

Those are not legit sales. Do NOT buy from anything below retail price or anything from a relatively new seller on Amazon.

Yeah, I saw pro controllers and everything selling very low. I was really tempted to buy, then I remembered buying a Gameboy and receiving a book, instead.

scams most likely but I mean honestly if you want to be safe just don't buy from anyone with a brand new account or like 1 rating (whether we're talking Ebay or Amazon).

What's interesting is that pretty much universally if someone is faking selling 10 Switch's cheap on Amazon and never sends them out.... everyone is going to get refunded by Amazon (who has reach to the payment) pretty quickly.

I've heard before that these 'scams' are often not to get the money directly, because thats near impossible (the payment will probably be held if its a new seller), but more to possibly gain the personal information of people (addresses / phone numbers / etc.) and that that data can be sold or something like that. 

I always thought theirs was systems in place to stop scams like this from happening like having all the money go through Amazon eg. you pay $20 for your item, goes to Amazon it turns out to be a scam, Amazon doesnt give seller the money and refunds you.

I saw that on TV lot's of scams on Amazon.

Do you really need to ask if this is a scam?
