Just seeing who created this thread made it obvious what the results of the analysis was gonna be. :L

After watching the vid, the Switch and PS4's versions aren't as identical as the commentary suggests.
I mean the analysis is fine but they downplay the difference by using lines like "the Switch version compares favourably" several times. I've seen them kick up more of a fuss highlighting differences that can only be seen by zooming in 300%. It just seemed like their analysis and the commentary to go with it were at odds compared to other comparisons.

PS4 can't run this game in 1080p? What? I was expecting 1080p/30fps on Switch and 1080/60 on PS4.

So your telling me that Uncharted, Horizon, Doom, even Witcher can run at higher resolutions, some even better framerate.....with advanced graphics, physics and everything. Hell Uncharted has some of the best animations as well.

Isn't HZD just scripted? Granted only seen the physics comparison between Botw and HZD videos and I didn't see physics in HZD but scripted stuff.

That's exactly why I'm getting the Switch version, it's perfect for playing on the go! Well that, and because who knows when I'll be getting a PS4, while I will have a Switch come the holidays. So which version are you getting then? I suppose I may aswell be asking which is more important to you, graphics or portability?

You're comparing a AAA game by one of the most talented developers in the world against a developer who does does smaller titles or works with other companies. This is their first self-published game by the looks of it.

I will never understand when people think it's a good idea to compare a console first party studio vs a much smaller and less well off third party studio in terms of design and polish.

If you're talking about that bad comparison video featuring the best stuff on Zelda against the worst on Horizon(the rock throwing versus rock throwing on Horizon lol and such) then you're looking at the wrong things. So no Horizon isn't just "scripted" it has a lot of physics simulation(that was NOT shown on that comparison video to make Zelda look way better) as well but they had to sacrifice other simulations for overall image quality. Anyway not the thread to continue talking about it.
