Monster Hunter Double X has a 59 user score? What happened there?

Well, I won't inject person opinion onto the game, but it's not out of the question to think that people get upset at the frequency of these full priced releases with so little change.

I'd say your assumption is pretty sound looking at the sales numbers.

PS4 absolutely dominating the digital sales in Japan.  It's got this market on lockdown.  Very profitable market for the publishers and Sony too.  Not cut for retailers or suppliers.

Why is the attach rate for Zelda and Switch so low here (50%) compared to everyone else (USA at 85% I believe).

Two things:

Zelda not as popular there.

And they love digital games over there. Sometime in the future when digital sales are released, we will know that Zelda attach ratio is more like 70% imo or even more

So, I've been crunching some hypothetical numbers:

With the total amount of Switch sales we've gotten from Media Create:

Japan sales so far are - 519,504 units

Now, let's take a look at the U.S.

Breath of the Wild sold around 437,000 units on launch, if we include Canada and Mexico: North American Launch numbers would be around 500,000 units for Breath of the Wild.

The attach rate I've been hearing so far fro Zelda and Switch is 85%. If this is true, that would put the Switch's NA Launch at: 588,235 units

You guys following me so far:

Japan (from launch to now) 519,504 units.

NA (just launch: and entirely hypothetical) 588,235 units.

Now, I'm going to make another hypothetical assumption: The one that the sales for the Switch in North America from March 4th to now are exactly the same amount as the Media Create figures we've gotten from Japan:

(61,998, 49,913, 78,441 units respectively)

Adding those to my hypothetical NA Switch launch gives us: 778,587 units.

So, overall, this is what I assume:

North America - 778,587

Japan - 519,504

I'll assume that Europe is the least selling of the 3 major regions at 450,000 units.

778,587 + 519,504 + 450,000 = 1,748,091 Nintendo Switch units sold worldwide (Again, entirely hypothetical)

We'll say that the rest of the world adds another 100k, which puts as at 1,848,091 units sold.
That number, (if hypothetically true) would be as of March 26th, with 5 days to go.

Overall, I think that it's safe to say that 2 million shipment was an accurate number.

Supposedly the switch is selling so damn well that it's going higher than Wii and DS in USA and Better than all Nintendo consoles in Europe. They also supposedly increased shipment numbers for March to 2.5 million. My estimate puts the switch at 2.3-2.4 million based on those.

"On November 28, 2006, Nintendo reported that it had sold over 600,000 consoles in the first eight days of launch in the Americas, making it Nintendo's largest console launch until the release of the Nintendo Switch in 2017". And it's been outselling Wii since day 1 so who knows maybe it can get 1 million in Norht America alone in March

Shouldn't Nier be higher? Since retail is already around that now?

Good hold for Switch and Zelda, let's see where it all stand once demand is met. Japan was bound to be a good market for it though, it feels like the entire concept is geared towards Japan.
