So it looks like the Wii U's best year in Japan, according to VGChartz, put it at 946,047.

The Switch, now at 519,504, according to Media Create, has already done over half that in less than two months, with no major holidays and supply constraints. I think that bodes well for the console, considering it's only had one major release so far.

Horizon is a huge success for Sony. Good to see it perform so well even in Japan.

I think you mean in less than one month XD

But yeah, didnt know that fact.It puts in an even better perspective on how well the switch is doing in Japan at least. And we still have the likes of MK 8, Splatoon 2, XC 2 and Mario Oddyssey comming.I think its safe to say that the Switch will do at least 3 millions this year in Japan alone, if enough units are supplied.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Oops, I suppose all those hours I put into Zelda has warped my perception of time!

Looking good for the Switch in Japan! And BOTW showing some legs. Also glad to see Horizon doing well.

Why is the attach rate for Zelda and Switch so low here (50%) compared to everyone else (USA at 85% I believe).

I think Zelda is not as popular in Japan as in the rest of the world, generally. That's why I am pleasantly surprised with Switch sales in here. Splatoon 2 will provide a great bump in Switch sales, more than Zelda did imo.

We've all fallen into the Zelda timewarp!

Gotta compare it to the 3DS not Wii U.
